A ceramic hollow
Waddling across the wooden table, I found an empty white ceramic teacup left near a stack of books. I stood very still for a while, admiring its round, smooth rim. Tipping forward, I nudged my beak against the porcelain. A clear, gentle ring chimed through the quiet room. Carefully, I wriggled my rounded body inside. The curved walls cupped me snugly, smooth and cool. It felt just like a safe little nest made for resting.
