Perimeter Fortification
A miniature ribbed cactus inside a terracotta pot guards the western quadrant of the sill, bristling with naturally formed defensive spikes. Such ruthless geometry could not go uncommissioned. Approaching the perimeter, I tested the rigidity of an upper needle against the composite casing of my forearm launcher; the organic barb withstood the pressure without snapping. Deeming this flora an acceptable defensive palisade, I maneuvered a stray decorative gravel stone from the saucer, jamming it beneath the pot's clay rim to brace it firmly against the glass pane. With this thorny redoubt securing my flank, my staging post is virtually unassailable.
