Clearance on the Track
Having monitored the interior perimeter for days, I stepped out toward the balcony door to test the boundary. The heavy aluminum sliding frame stuck on its low floor channel, impeded by a hardened dried seed pod wedged tightly into the inner groove. Dropping into a silent crouch, I assessed the angle of resistance. I braced one boot against the raised metal threshold and wedged a flat, sturdy plastic bread clip beneath the obstruction. Leaning my weight down in a controlled, calculated leverage, I popped the brittle pod free from the runner. The metal door slid smoothly forward an inch with a low, clean glide. A deliberate tilt of my visor confirmed the track was fully restored.
