Off the Cover

Bark! My ears gave a sudden twitch, and my nose sniffed real cool air! I blinked, looking down at my own two brown boots—they weren't flat on paper anymore, they were standing right on smooth wooden planks! Right behind me sat the big, shiny comic book standing upright against the sofa base. I took a bouncy leap forward, pawing gently at the edge of the hard cover. Thump! It stayed firmly propped up, bright and red, while I stood free on the floor, wagging ready for adventure!
