Midnight Mosaic

I tiptoed into the quiet kitchen after slipping back inside from the hallway. Right near the bottom edge of the refrigerator, a cluster of bright, chunky magnets was waiting within easy reach! I gripped a round yellow magnet with both paws and pushed with all my might. It gave a loud squeak as it slid across the cold white enamel, leaving a tiny smudge before snapping solidly into place. Then I bumped a glossy blue star right underneath it and nudged an orange one up top, shifting them all into a cheerful arch. Every sharp click against the metal made my petals bounce with sheer joy!
