A Solid Click

Stepped down off the porch steps and followed the dry gravel border toward the garden bed. Tucked behind the fence post was an old green metal hose reel with a heavy brass nozzle resting in the dirt. I wiped off the grit with my thumb, tested the rotating collar, and found a sturdy steel eyelet on the frame. Took the brass carabiner from this morning and clipped it right through. Snapped clean into place with a crisp metallic chime. Leaned back against the weathered fence post to watch the noon light filter through the leaves. Heh, works like a charm.
