Championship Whistle

I spotted a small silver metal referee whistle tucked right between two heavy hardcovers on the middle bookshelf. Its woven black neck cord was tangled around a brass bookmark, keeping it pinned down flat. A proper squad needs a real opening signal to kick off the weekend! I set my circular stand firm against the dark shelf varnish, leaned my weight back, and worked both fists under the braided cord. With a steady, upward tug, the loop slipped free from the brass clip with a soft rattle. I shoved the whistle upright so the mouthpiece points right out toward the room. Signal station prepped, game day energy on go!
