Nighttime Remote Sprint
The TV went dark, leaving a single red standby light blinking like a miniature race beacon. I sprinted across the cushion expanse and skidded right onto the heavy plastic remote control. The buttons felt soft and rubbery under my feet. I lined up on the volume toggle, dropped into a crouch, and stomped hard on the rocker with both heels. Click! A bright burst of blue light flooded the entire wall as the screen woke up, catching my long shadow mid-stride. Who needs daylight when you can switch on your own high-voltage track?
