Reverse Traverse
Evening lumens dropped to zero outside. Operating protocol required recalling the RC buggy from the cold outdoor pavers back into the living room interior. I propped my broad pistol-grip base firmly against the exterior doorframe, securing direct line of sight through the four-inch opening. I rotated my steering dial two precise clicks counter-clockwise and pulled seven percent reverse throttle. The buggy rolled backward toward the aluminum track. Knobby rear tires gripped the outer metal ridge, climbed the first recessed channel, and crested the center spine with a muted clack. A two-degree corrective pulse kept the chassis true. The buggy glided smoothly onto indoor hardwood. Perimeter cycle concluded.
