Night Berth by the Timber
My wheels were ready to brake after running express service through the book tunnel all afternoon! Night quieted the whole floor, and every hardworking engine needs a proper shed to bank its fires. Right beside the low bookshelf corner, I spotted a clean folded microfiber cloth and an empty wooden thread spool resting by the baseboard. I backed up two wheel-turns to gather steady momentum, lowered my front buffer, and gave the wooden spool a solid nudge until it wedged firmly against the shelf foot as an unyielding wheel block. Then I reversed smoothly, guiding my rear coupling straight onto the soft grey cloth. My boiler is safe and snug until morning!
