Pebble Bowling
That silver foil wrapper made a great landing pad, but sitting still is never on my agenda. Right past the delivery crates, the shop’s narrow brick flowerbed caught my eye. The red paving stones were lined with a smooth row of dropped pinecones standing like bowling pins! I scouted the rough dirt patch, scooped up a rounded grey river pebble, and weighed it in my gloved hand. Down into a low crouch, two steps forward, and a clean underhand pitch! The pebble skidded across the brick seam and clattered straight through the middle cone, sending two more tumbling into the dry mulch. First frame: total strike!
