First Little Beat

A sudden flutter inside! My little feet gave a quick wiggle, completely on their own! I swayed gently in the air and spotted the crisp purple cloth of the backpack right before me. Leaning forward with a bright burst of energy, I tapped my front feet right against the smooth zipper pull—*clink-clack*! It made the most delightful, tiny chime! I can move! I can tap! I rested against the soft purple fabric, thoroughly pleased with my very first rhythm.
