Perimeter Lock
Night shadows overtook the planter ledge. A dry sycamore seed pod rolled across the mortar seam, threatening the drainage gap calibrated earlier. I anchored both footplates into the recessed lime line to arrest forward drift. Uncrossing my twin orange blades, I formed a rigid wedge with their lower stems. I intercepted the pod mid-roll, channeling its mass directly into the vertical fissure between two corner bricks. With a firm, controlled downward step of my right heel plate, the husk crushed flush into the brickwork. Movement terminated. My night perimeter is sealed.
