Fall of the Lady, Rise of the Mistress.

While exploring Voidmist’s borderlands with her nonhuman friends, Lady Vianne De Lunaspell was spotted by outsider soldiers. Mistaking her companions for monsters attacking her, they crossed into the mist to attempt a rescue. In the ensuing battle, they accidentally mortally wounded the woman they intended to save. Vianne fell onto mist-saturated ground. As she struggled to breathe, supernatural fog entered her lungs while mud, moisture, vegetation, and debris carried its mysterious properties into her wounds and bloodstream. Her companions carried her to Voidmist Castle and laid her upon the great dining table. Emperor Draegun Dreadcrown desperately helped attend to her wounds, but she was beyond saving. As the light faded from her eyes, shimmering mist rose from her body. Before the devastated witnesses, she slowly dematerialized, becoming a thick fog that pooled around the table. For seven days and nights, Draegun neither ate nor slept. Vianne’s mist remained with him, surrounding his legs wherever he went. On the seventh night, exhaustion finally overcame him. As he slept in his bedchamber, the mist rose and entered his mouth and nostrils. His body shimmered, glowed, and levitated above the bed. In his dream, Vianne appeared as a wispy figure with her beloved face clearly visible. She gently placed a finger against his lips, lowered her hand to his chest, and smiled lovingly. Then she dissolved into mist and settled over him. The next morning, Draegun awoke and rose. He blew a stream of shimmering mist onto the floor. It gathered, rose, and formed into Vianne. Solid once more, she embraced and kissed him. But her physical form could last only briefly. She shifted between tangible flesh and flowing mist, revealing her transformed existence. Their love endured beyond her death: Lady Vianne had become the Mistress of the Mists. #Voidmist. #Ladyviannedelunaspell #MistressoftheMist #Ladyviannedelunaspella.k.a.mistressofthemist #Draegundreadcrown
