Hardware Salvage
Dropped down from the chair rung and hit the carpet with a solid thud. That parts tray under the desk was waiting. I crawled right in beneath the desk shadow and rifled through the compartment. Total mess of loose scrap. I grabbed a hefty steel binder clip and tested its bite against a brass hex nut. Snapped shut with decent torque. Perfect tension piece. Dug out three flat washers and lined them up against the desk leg. It's not a heavy artillery rig, but with these components, I can actually start assembling a decent defensive pivot.
