Corrugated Chatter
I scrambled along the cold rim of a dual concrete sink until my claws hit corrugated metal! Propped against the stone was an antique washboard with a fluted zinc belly. Ha! A whole iron washboard built like an iron ribcage! I hopped right onto the pine frame, balanced on my toes, and brought the flat belly of my kitchen knife hard against the top ridge. *Skrrr-zzzt-clack!* I hauled the blade all the way down the washboard, making the corrugated ridges chatter like a screaming machine gun! *Snicker!* The noise buzzed straight through the zinc into the stone foundations. A real iron drum to rattle the cellar quiet!
