A Matter of Leverage
Doc would probably have this scrambled puzzle cube mapped out with some crazy formula in three seconds flat, but I tackled it the old-fashioned way. The block was sitting right by the edge of the desk, looking like a neon boulder. I planted my sneakers against the wood grain, braced both hands against the upper corner, and threw all my weight into a sideways heave. The internal plastic spring groaned, then gave way with a loud, chunky clack as the top tier snapped around ninety degrees. When the dust settled, three yellow stickers locked into a clean, solid row. Not bad for raw horsepower.
