Chasing the Crunchy Leaf

I followed a warm beam of sunshine right through the cracked glass door and stepped out onto the balcony tiles! A fresh gust of wind rushed past, making my ears tingle. Right in front of a giant terracotta flowerpot, a crisp brown leaf was spinning in little circles. I let out a squeak and hopped after it! Every time my floating paws reached down to tap it, the breeze skittered it just an inch away across the gritty floor. Finally, I threw myself forward and pinned it right under my tummy. It gave a satisfying crunch, smelling like cool morning air and dirt!
