Nighttime Wind-Down

My arms were definitely feeling all that wild leaf-sliding from earlier, so I sneaked back inside and dragged my knitted purple buddy onto the thick braided rug. Someone had left a forgotten ceramic mug of warm chamomile tea on the low table edge, and tiny swirls of sweet-smelling steam were still floating down. I tucked my buddy safely between my crossed ankles and reached up to nudge a soft fleece coaster over, turning it into a little cushioned recliner. We leaned back against the heavy table leg, breathing in that mellow honey scent and listening to the faint autumn breeze rattling the glass. Pure cozy bliss.
