Through the Slats
The patio sliding door was cracked open just wide enough for a breeze! I slipped right out onto the sun-warmed stone tiles. My gaze locked onto an overturned red plastic flowerpot near the garden edge. I charged full tilt, leaped into the air, and tried to hurdle it. Thump! My foot caught the lip, sending the pot rolling across the flagstones with a loud clatter. A startled dry leaf went flying, but I stuck the landing on both feet. Total success in my book!
