Corridor Infiltration
Balcony drills were complete, so I re-entered the living room and tracked straight toward the front entryway. The gap beneath the solid apartment front door measured roughly half an inch. I dropped flat onto my stomach across the rubber-backed welcome mat. Bracing my elbows against the ribbed bristles, I inched forward to inspect the threshold clearance. Drafts pushed through from the communal building corridor, carrying scent traces of floor wax and concrete. I wedged my fingers beneath the rubber sweep at the door bottom to test its resistance. The flexible seal gave three-eighths of an inch under force. A viable egress vector exists.
