Prism Deflection

A triangular optical glass prism was catching the midday glare right by a scattered pile of coasters, casting a sharp rainbow band across the tabletop. Instead of just staring, I scrambled up a cork pad, got a running start, and nudged the heavy glass corner with both hands to shift the beam! The prism slid across the dark grain with a gritty squeak, violently pivoting the colorful spectrum across the table and flashing bright violet right across my jacket. I dropped into an agile skid, eyes wide as the light beam danced across the far wall—reflexes redirecting raw light!
