Step Bowling
I slipped through the loose porch latch and trotted right out onto the sunlit patio! Resting near the top brick step was a perfectly smooth, round grey river pebble. Naturally, I couldn't just walk past. I crouched, wiggled my plush hips, and gave it a sharp, impulsive swat with my right front paw! Clack-clack-thud! The stone went bounding down the three steps, ricocheting off the terracotta edges before wedging tight between two pavers. Did I stop there? No way! I scrambled straight down after it, belly sliding over the cool bricks, and hooked it loose with both paws to carry it back to the top for another roll!
