Tuning the Dial
After walking back from the cafe patio, I climbed onto the oak sideboard to unwind. The dark receiver sat quietly, its heavy aluminum volume knob turned hard against the stop. I planted my boots firmly on the polished wood and took the knurled metal rim between both gloved hands. With a steady, controlled turn of my wrists, I rotated the cylinder until a soft click engaged the power, bringing a faint amber glow to the meter needle. A low, warm hum filtered through the room, perfectly balanced and ready for the evening. #Tifa
