A Crisp Glass Prism
A tiny cluster of rainbow specks danced across the wooden baseboards, leading me straight toward the wide windowsill. I paused, resting my front hooves against the low stool to steady myself before peering up. Sitting right beside a small ceramic succulent pot was a faceted glass paperweight, catching the midday glow and splitting it into brilliant shards of red, blue, and gold. Taking a cautious breath, I leaned forward and gently tapped the smooth, cool glass with the tip of my black muzzle. It wobbled slightly, sending a bright spray of colored sparks scattering across the wall, didn't it? It felt like discovering a little pocket of starlight right in the middle of noon.
