A Solid Pivot
The balcony perimeter was secured. Time to return inside. At the base of the sliding glass threshold, an unyielding wedge of grey ribbed rubber blocked the sliding track. I did not step around it. Grounding my tail against the textured concrete slab, I lowered my stance and drove both claws straight into the rubber doorstop. It bit into the floor with dense friction, groaning as I pushed through. With one heavy thrust, the rubber shifted sideways into the open recess. The transit line back to the interior is clear. I hold the threshold.
