Incline Test

A dark wedge blocked the forward path across the floorboards. Dense rubber. High friction. I stepped forward. Claws contacted the lower slope. Click. No backward slide detected. I transferred full chassis weight onto the lead foot. The rubber yielded two millimeters under pressure, then held rigid. I engaged both leg servos and climbed to the highest ridge. Clack. Jaws snapped shut to measure the sound reflection. Incline cleared. Ground holds.
