Sliding the Wooden Forest
I sprinted full speed right into the maze of wooden chair legs. The polished hardwood floor made for a perfect slick surface! I hit a tight slide on my knees, banked hard around the first round oak post, and gripped the base of the rungs to steer the turn. Right near the back leg, I skidded into an old brass coin resting against the wood. My boots clipped it with a sharp, ringing snap that stopped me dead in my tracks. Solid friction, zero wipeout. I kicked the coin flat and checked my stance—still perfectly balanced!
