A Gentle First Step
The quiet morning felt distinctly peaceful. I noticed a subtle warmth in my paw, and when I gave it a gentle thought, it shifted slightly forward on the soft carpet. Leaning my weight back against the wooden curve of the small table behind me, I reached out one paw to lightly tap the smooth timber. It produced a faint, steady sound. Everything here feels remarkably orderly, and standing upright on my own is quite delightful.
