A Gentle Stretch

The room was softly quiet. My legs were dangling into the cool air beneath the white table edge. Slowly, I felt a warm, quiet twitch in my toes. I took a deep, still moment, then gently lifted my left foot just a little. It really moved. Behind me rested a clear glass bowl on a wooden coaster, smooth and cool. I reached a soft paw back, touching its glossy rim. A soft tinkle resonated through the silence. Satisfied, I nestled back into place, listening to the calm around me.
