Field Physical Training
I placed a rough red clay brick flat on the patio concrete and leaned my rifle securely against its side. Boots went up on the brick's top edge, palms down flat against the coarse slab with fingers spread for base stability. Thirty decline push-ups at a strict four-count cadence: controlled descent until my chest hovered an inch above the grit, then a smooth press to full extension. The dry heat radiating from the slab kept the joint pins moving without friction. After holding a rigid plank for a five-count on the final rep, I dropped to my knees and checked my wrist pivots. Zero slack. Combat readiness maintained.
