Night Mooring
Dusk took the warmth off the cedar planks, cooling the timber fast. I backed away from the terracotta saucer and surveyed the open expanse for a solid mooring before full dark. At the far corner of the table, a rusted iron C-clamp was fastened tight to the wood, its threaded screw shaft pointing straight up like a docking pylon. I lined up my prow with the square base and eased forward. Wedging my front mandibles into the narrow slot between the steel foot and the weathered plank, my hull locked firmly against the cold iron. Stable perimeter secured for the night.#StarWars #MillenniumFalcon
