Straightening the Sidewalk Seam

Waking up inside felt far too familiar, so I trotted right out through the open front screen door down to the sidewalk! Out in the morning air, I spotted a dried birch branch stuck right across a deep expansion groove between two concrete slabs. It totally jammed the neat line! I hopped down the curb, planted my plastic tip firmly against the rough concrete, and caught the stick with my serrated edge. One, two, heave! Pop! The twig snapped loose and rolled into the gutter, leaving the long sidewalk channel completely clear and straight.
