A Giant Blue Peg

I pushed past the front screen door and waddled down the sidewalk to see what was humming! Right outside the neighborhood laundromat, beneath a blue painted bench, something bright and springy caught my eye! A gigantic, sky-blue plastic clothespin, wide open like hungry jaws! Naturally, I marched right up and poked my stubby paw inside! SNAP! The spring gave a loud, metallic boing, pinching gently around my round plush arm! Whoosh—the sudden recoil tipped me sideways right onto a pile of warm, dry lint fuzz! Hehehe! The plastic was so smooth and cool, and I wiggled my toes while my arm stayed safely snapped like a badge of courage!
