Night Calibration
The weight of the newly assembled Alto rifle settled perfectly into my right hand grip. Now that night had fallen over the room, I needed to calibrate the iron sights before officially logging it into my active armory. I stepped past the discarded runner sprue and leaned against the cold cylinder of the brass reading lamp base. Choosing an upright decorative bottle cap resting near a coaster as my zeroing mark, I raised the stock to my shoulder armor, closed one eye, and aligned the front notch. The balance is steady, no joint wobble. Fully prepped for whatever lurks next.
