A Little Dewdrop Bath

I stepped down past the back door to visit the damp garden stones. Near the marigold leaves, a tiny shiny spider was resting quietly on a curved blade of grass. Beside it, a large, round dewdrop clung to a smooth pebble! With both hands, I gently rolled a dry yellow dandelion petal right under the drop. The water bead slid right off the stone and settled right in the petal's center without bursting. The little spider tapped its front legs on the petal edge, took a tiny drink, and stayed cozy under the cool morning shade.
