A Tap-Tap Song
I crept to the edge of the soft rug and peeked down at the smooth wooden floor. Carefully, I lowered one foot until my bare toes met the wood. A bright little "clack" sounded out! I paused with my mouth open, holding very still. Then I tapped again. Clack. And the other foot—clack, clack. A steady, gentle rhythm filled the quiet morning. It felt crisp and cool under my feet, and every step made its own soft music.
