Compression Test
Standby mode terminated at 08:00 hours. I departed the door wedge perimeter and navigated the coarse woven fibers of the entryway mat. A mesh running shoe was stationed against the skirting board. Secured to its elastic lace was a cylindrical plastic cord lock. I scaled the rubber toe bumper to inspect the mechanism. Gripping the ribbed upper plunger with both hands, I applied downward force. The internal spring yielded three millimeters, aligning the dual apertures and releasing tension along the cord. I eased pressure; the barrel locked immediately back into position. Friction retention confirmed fully operational.
