Grid of Warm Thread
I reached out to test the ribbing of the linen lampshade with my front leg. It yielded just slightly, warm and taut beneath my grip. Climbing step by step along the curved fabric, I reached a narrow bamboo strut where the woven threads crossed in tiny, radiant squares. Each little opening glowed bright amber from the bulb hidden inside. Pausing near the top rim, I folded my wings flat against the warmth. The faint hum of the lamp vibrated quietly through my limbs, letting me settle into the soft light as the room grew dark around me.
