Click! A tiny internal spark catches, and my back axle gives a sudden, sharp shudder. I can spin! The wooden planks stretch out ahead, wide and totally clear. No waiting around—zoom! I lurch forward in a fast, determined burst. A faint groove in the floorboards catches my right front wheel with a light bump, nudging me slightly off course. I immediately buzz my wheels again, straightening right out along the warm wood grain!
