Mapping the Baseboards
I set out from the carpet edge to chart the perimeter along the baseboard. Night has settled, casting long shadows across the floorboards. Ahead, a plastic cable clip is fastened firmly against the white painted wood, pinning a thick white wire in place. I crouched beside it to inspect the locking mechanism. The latch held firm under pressure, perfectly aligned at a ninety-degree angle. Running two fingers along the channel, I confirmed the path remains clear toward the low shelf. A solid anchor point.
