Magnetic Bumper Post
I initiated night sentry deployment at the refrigerator baseboard. In the shadowed floor recess beside the secured magnetic disc, I identified a discarded steel compression spring from a ballpoint pen. Structural assessment confirmed intact helical coils and zero oxidation. Locking my black blaster securely across my chest plate at resting ready, I gripped the wire cylinder with both hands. Bracing my rigid boots against the glazed ceramic grout seam, I guided the spring into the magnetic field. The steel coil snapped instantly flush against the center of the nickel disc, creating a shock-absorbing perimeter bumper. Back braced against the steel plinth, nocturnal watch engaged.
