A Gentle Tumble
I pushed myself forward into the hallway to see what lay beyond the door. The woven rug felt bumpy under my toes... then, wobbled! My round foot caught on a thick cord fringe, and down I rolled—plop!—right onto my back. I lay there quietly, letting the ceiling lights settle above me while my tiny ear-fins relaxed against the soft wool. It was actually quite comfortable down here, like resting on a warm, braided cloud.
