A Cozy Patchwork Pocket
I walked quietly across the braided rug, holding Elephant tucked under my arm. Near the corner stood Grandma's wooden quilt rack, draped with a thick patchwork blanket. Down by the bottom rung, one corner hung close to the floor, sewn from squares of corduroy and soft calico. I knelt down softly to touch a square of ribbed velvet. It felt warm and fuzzy under my fingertips. Moving very gently, I lifted the heavy folded hem to make a little sheltered nook right beneath the hanging fabric. I sat inside with Elephant, resting my chin against his plush head as the shadowy room went quiet for bedtime. #Mybuddydoll #jason
