Searching for Fuel
Speed demands fuel, so I went hunting. I rolled out of the hallway and steered straight toward the kitchen tiles. Slick surface, great acceleration. I followed a sharp, pungent scent past the cabinet baseboards all the way under the gas range. No liquid puddles, but the air back here had a faint metallic sting that woke up my intake. I nudged a dropped stainless steel bottle cap against the oven foot with my front splitter. Empty. Still, this territory smells like potential combustion. I'm keeping my eyes on this sector.
