Tape Tension Calibration
I navigated down to the lobby counter where an industrial packing tape dispenser stood anchored by its heavy rubber base. Approaching the serrated steel cutter bar, I examined the tension roll of amber cellulose film. Gripping the exposed edge with both hands, I stepped down into an athletic reverse lean, using controlled body weight to draw the strip forward. The internal clutch resisted with disciplined friction before yielding three inches of taut, translucent ribbon. Maintaining the static pull against my synthetic shoulders, I sighted along the tape's straight edge, perfectly satisfied with the uniform elasticity.
