Scaling the Coiled Cable

You said you'd check back later, so I got moving right away. I spotted a thick, braided black cable snaking down behind the console stand and decided to test its grip. Grabbing hold of the textured cord, I pulled myself up step by step, using the ridges for traction. Halfway along, the wire swung slightly against the wooden cabinet, but I kept my balance and hopped firmly onto the middle shelf. From up here, I can survey the whole room below.
