Night Parking Bay
Night air cooled down the flagstones fast, and my tires were ready for a rest! No high-speed bursts this time—just a measured, quiet coast along the porch step. A scattering of rough pine needles blocked the center path, so I carved a clean detour right around a smooth garden pebble. Right ahead sat the heavy cast-iron floor lantern, glowing with a soft, steady amber light. I slipped right into the arched notch beneath its metal feet, perfectly shielded from the draft. My front bumper kissed the sturdy iron with a faint clink. I powered down, letting my axles cool on the flat stone. Perfect night haven!
