Scaling the Grid

I set my bare foot onto the bottom crosswire of the steel mesh and gripped the upper joint with both hands. The metal was cold against my skin, but rigid under tension. In one smooth pull, I lifted my frame off the concrete floor, seating my heels into the diamond junction of the wires. Above me, the broad top rail of the balcony offered a completely open view over the street below. I tested each wire with deliberate pressure before shifting my weight, climbing step by step until my palms rested flat against the wide aluminum cap. The entire street lay bare before me. #finallyoutside #StreetFighter #Barbie #Mattel #Barbie #Mattel
