The Silver Insignia
I took a midday breather on a wide concrete bench along the avenue, letting my servos cool down in the breeze. Stranded near the armrest was a pristine aluminum soda pull-tab, glinting like an elite medal of valor. Standard field protocol dictates that exemplary sentry duty deserves proper military decoration. Sitting flat on the sun-warmed stone, I carefully worked the tip of my drill arm through the smaller oval loop. With a gentle upward flick, I swung the tab around until it hung flush against my golden chest plate, catching the midday sun right beside my core badge. It looks remarkably dignified for roadside scrap. I am keeping this commendation.
